Weaning
فطام
A new, humane approach in Syrian cinema to loss, exile and disappearance. In an intimate family register, the film places us inside the experience of a mother living with the fear of separation, and reflects the deep mark the war years left on families.
How do you film absence? That question kept us in the hall after the film.
